Since the one-year anniversary of The Greenwood Beat - WFPG on June 8, 2024, the station's Founder and CEO, Dr. Angela K. Chambers have been hinting at exciting developments brewing for the station. True to their word, The Greenwood Beat has been making significant strides with new partnerships and initiatives.

New Partnerships and Collaborations 

Dr. Chambers partnered with Starr Fisher, the Chief Operating Officer, and collaborated with influential organizations such as OlaBee, EatBlackOwned.com, BlackGoogle.org, and Black Facebook. Additionally, Minister Alvin Muhammad has been appointed as the Chief Sustainability Officer of The Greenwood Beat, further strengthening its commitment to sustainable practices.

Exciting New Shows

Among the exciting announcements is the introduction of new shows, including Jaye Harmon's Top Gospel 30 and the much-anticipated talk show, The Greenwood Source. Hosted by Mareo Johnson, The Greenwood Source aims to elevate the culture of entrepreneurship by offering support and education to its audience. The Greenwood Beat: A Historic Presence

The Greenwood Beat is proud to be Oklahoma's first woman-owned and first-ever radio station on the historic Greenwood Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This area is famously known as the original Black Wall Street, a symbol of African American entrepreneurship and resilience.
